Mark is a director of Healthskills, and his primary focus is in outcome-based facilitation, development of high-performing teams and leaders, and coaching individuals to tap into some of their unlimited potential. He has enjoyed over twenty years working with healthcare professionals; initially in business management and leadership development within the pharmaceutical industry, and since 2000, working directly with individuals in the NHS at all levels, with clinicians, managers and multi-disciplinary teams.
Mark uses many tools in his work with clients: he is a diploma-qualified coach, trained in step I and II of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and an approved facilitator of both the Aston Team Performance Inventory and the NHS Leadership Qualities Framework.

Bob specialises in personal, team and organisational development, He has a strong understanding of the context in which development takes place, especially inter-agency settings and health policy and practice. After working with British Gas, the NHS, a university and an employee-owned consultancy, Bob is now using his experience to deliver innovative leadership programmes and support to a variety of clients.
Bob is passionate about giving space to leaders to reflect and understand their leadership and organisational dilemmas. He uses action learning, coaching and conversational approaches to make this happen. He is also researching issues around how leaders cope with demanding roles – the techniques they use, the priorities they set and the balance that they achieve. He has also contributed to international leadership programmes – working in Bulgaria, Spain and Belgium.
Bob has an interest in mutuals and social enterprises He sat on the OPM ESOT (Employee Share Ownership Trust) as an elected trustee for 4 years. He is working on the impact employee ownership has on organisations and the different demands it places on leaders.

A Masters graduate in management with distinction, Dawn has served 5 years as a Chief Executive/Board Director in the NHS Primary Care Sector. With key skills in strategic change, relationship management, system leadership and business turnaround, Dawn delivers on budget and on time, exceeding expectations. She is a qualified Executive and Business Coach to post graduate diploma level working with senior leaders in public and private sector and a range of senior clinical staff in health and care organisations. Now a partner with Healthskills she has developed a strong track record in design and delivery of Leadership Development Programmes and OD Business Partnership.
Dawn has significant experience of building successful teams and is a natural motivator. With key skills in strategic change management, relationship management, and team facilitation, Dawn is able to bring a positive energy into coaching to enable each client to see their own true potential. Working as an interim or external consultant has enabled Dawn to offer fresh insight to individuals and teams in organisations who are going through change or transition. Outside of work Dawn is a passionate Rugby Union fan, regularly seen on the Twickenham terraces. Melanie is a business psychologist and coach, with extensive experience working in the learning and development profession both in-house and as an external consultant. Previously, she has worked as a subject-matter expert and organisational development consultant with Deloitte, KPMG, Morgan Cole LLP and other partnership organisations implementing national policy reforms. She regularly works with law firms, SMEs as well as public service organisations such as the NHS.
Originally trained as a clinician, she moved into learning and development after recognising the breadth of opportunity to support individuals to maximise their potential. During this period she has established a track record as someone who is passionate about people development whilst adopting a pragmatic, action-orientated approach to support individuals to maximise their potential. She adopts a flexible, open and creative approach, yet retains a clear focus on organisational outcomes and strategic alignment.
With a background in organisational psychology, she uses her knowledge and understanding of psychology and evidence-based practice to inform her work and support individuals to understand the dynamics of human behaviour and change. She has a specialist interest in leadership development, team dynamics and change management, and has worked with professionals within a range of industries including medicine, media, legal, engineering and financial services.
Driven by evidence and results, Melanie has previously conducted a market-leading research study exploring the influence of employee Psychological Capital, which is how individuals can maximise their potential and thrive. She has since developed an innovative programme to apply this evidence-based research to the complexities of the workplace.
Mike is an experienced, organisation consultant, with 10 years in UK Healthcare followed by 15 years in a major UK retail company with an annual turnover in excess of £11 billion and employees of 95,000. Mike is now in his 6th Year as an independent Organisational Consultant.
Mike specialises in Organisation Development solutions, both in the UK and in Europe. He is experienced at designing and delivering major programmes including change, leadership, coaching and team development; Mike is also a highly experienced Executive & Personal Coach.

Anne is primarily involved in working with the boards and senior teams of healthcare organisations on strategy and leadership development. Anne has also been asked to facilitate whole system events including engagement events with Lord Darzi and David Nicholson.
With over 25 years experience in the NHS including in a hospital based operational role and 6 years at the Department of Health, Anne brings an in-depth understanding of management and leadership issues. Perhaps her most challenging role was as regional director for organisational development in South East Thames supporting the implementation of NHS Trusts.
Anne has a particular interest in working with clinicians on leadership Issues, identifying the benefits and issues that will engage them to achieve real and lasting change in organisations and service provision.
Charles has a great mix of commercial and NHS experience, having over twenty years experience working as a senior business manager in the commercial health industry, and a number of years working with groups of healthcare professionals in the NHS and the Pharmaceutical industry. With an academic background in Psychology and Economics, a great deal of his work has centred upon the development of leadership within organisations and the creation and maintenance of high performing teams. Charles is passionate about helping people to maximise their potential.
Highly influenced by modern thinking on leadership approaches that engage with and get the most from staff, his main focus is on personal and team development to drive performance and achievement. He is a qualified coach at Diploma level, an NLP Practitioner and accredited to use both the HBDI individual and team profile and Aston team Performance Inventory.

He previously spent over 25 years in a variety of technical and leadership roles, globally and in the UK, where he was recognised for his outstanding planning and execution skills, ability to build businesses, produce results and transformational change at strategic and operational levels.
With over 10 years’ executive and leadership coaching experience, Alastair coaches from a position of curiosity, often becoming an inspiration and catalyst. Alastair is an Accredited Executive Coach (AEC) with Association for Coaching, with 5,000+ hours coaching experience, and is trained in a variety of coaching models, facilitation techniques, systemic and organisational interventions.
Bernie is a leadership and organizational development specialist with board level experience. He has worked as a practitioner, manager and consultant in the public and voluntary sectors at local, regional and national level. His professional interests include; the role of leadership in culture and place shaping, public sector policy application and evaluation, governance and organisational form in public services, the role of groups and teams in organisational life and organisational discourse and narrative.
Bernie works with the National School of Government as a member of faculty on the Cabinet Office Top Manager Programme a senior leadership programme spanning the public, independent and private sectors.
He was Head of Leadership and Organisation Development for a Strategic Health Authority (80,000 staff across Kent, Surrey and Sussex) and prior to that a Senior Fellow in Leadership at the Kings Fund - where he directed the Top Manager Programme and coordinated the consultancy practice.
As an executive coach, John uses a solution-focused and evidence-based approach to motivate the client to identify and challenge unhelpful patterns of behaviour and build self-confidence by reinforcement of the clients’ strengths. Jon Billings is an executive-level strategist with the rare ability to develop narrative that connects the strategic to the operational. He is among the most experienced regulatory professionals in the UK health system having led design and delivery of multiple regulatory programmes in both provider and professional regulation across the UK and Ireland.
A former NHS clinician and manager with twenty years experience of delivering frontline health services, Jon is passionate about bringing all his experience to bear to promote safer, better health and social care by helping organisations and professionals understand their strengths and weaknesses and navigate their complex worlds to deliver improvement.
Jude is a highly skilled facilitator and organisational development consultant with over twenty-five years of public sector service. She was a Director of Strategic Development and Partnerships in a Primary Care Trust for five years, taking the lead in vital modernisation programmes in North Yorkshire.
Jude holds an MA in Health Management and a BSc in Behavioural Science; and is also a qualified Mediator and non-practicing Psychotherapist.
Jude is a member of the United Kingdom Council for Transactional Analysis; and has been commissioned by Healthskills to work with KPMG for the last four years focusing on board and team development and coaching.

Judith Taylor is an experienced business coach, facilitator and organisational development consultant with over 18 years’ experience in leadership and organisational development across the private sector, NHS, local government and further education.
Her early career was in private sector HR where she had opportunity to develop a proactive people development approach before moving to specialise in organisational and leadership development. She now works with leaders, boards and senior teams who want to optimise their own and their organisation’s effectiveness, and believes that the quality of leadership is the single most significant factor in achieving organisational success!

Karen has fifteen years experience as a senior manager in the NHS working at Director and Board level. Since becoming an independent consultant over ten years ago she has worked with Health Organisations (including a particular focus on community and primary care), Local Authorities, Further Education Colleges and Voluntary and Community organisations to address their challenges and develop tailored offers to meet their needs. Karen works with individuals and organisations to develop and sustain new forms of collaboration to deliver change and improve the quality of services.

Liam is an experienced development consultant, with experience in healthcare and with retailers including Boots and Superdrug. He has held senior learning and development, operations and commercial roles following clinical and academic roles as a pharmacist earlier in his career.
Liams key skills lie in delivering high energy workshops that are both challenging and fun, and producing training support materials that are visually and mentally engaging help people apply the skills and knowledge they have learnt. His major interests are in helping clients utilise improved communication skills to become more effective in management, leadership and influence and helping teams manage their own motivation. The programmes that Liam runs use a range of metaphors to help participants grasp important concepts and then gives people space to put these concepts into their own context.
As a coach and facilitator, Liam supports individuals and teams to better understand themselves or their situation, and draws out the skills and knowledge they already have to overcome problems and barriers. His action orientated approach leads to an increased level of self-reliance that encourages clients to move to the next level of performance.
Liam lives with his wife and four children in Melton Mowbray, travelling throughout the UK and Ireland to deliver programmes. He is a keen cyclist and musician.
After starting her career at the Leeds General Infirmary, Miranda worked for the Institute of Health Services Management and also for the Market Research Society. In 1997 she established herself as a training consultant working with public and third sector organisations.
Miranda has worked across many different NHS offering training, facilitation and executive coaching. Alongside her strong experience of developing managers, whatever their background, and successfully growing their leadership skills; she has recently worked with CCGs supporting General Practices with Releasing Time for Care.
Sarah is a successful and highly experienced leader specialising in health and social care consultancy and interim leadership. She has a track record of delivering complex strategic programmes, specialising in organisational change, and capability building. Her passion is connecting strategy and performance: enabling leaders, teams and individuals to work collaboratively and deliver high quality outcomes.
Sarah has in-depth knowledge of health and social care policy having worked within a range of organisations in the NHS and the private consulting sector in her thirty-year career. More recently at the Centre for Workforce Intelligence she led complex programmes on the future shape of the workforce. As a PCT workforce director Sarah led leadership and workforce development across a health economy. She was instrumental in leading commissioning development as part of the world class commissioning process within a PCT and across a region. She also led the change process to support merger and development of a mental health trust.
Sarah began her career as an NHS Graduate Management Trainee, holds a Diploma in Health Services Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
She is also a Visiting Fellow in Nursing and Integrated Care at Bucks New University and works in collaboration with Manchester Business School and the Health Services Management Centre, Birmingham.
Shirley Ficken is a People Development Practitioner and has a passion for working with organisations, teams and leaders who want to maximise their potential. She worked as an Internal Consultant in Financial Services for 25 years where she developed and delivered leadership development programmes, competency frameworks, performance and talent management practices in alignment with organisational goals and people strategies. Moving into other industries and sectors including NHS Trusts, Shirley has worked with a wide variety of leaders and specialist teams, facilitating interventions that enable them to recognise the impact of their personality and behaviour so that they can improve performance, motivation and wellbeing.
Shirley has a Post Graduate Certificate in Business & Executive Coaching, a Post Graduate Diploma in Coaching Psychology and is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) which exists to promote ethical practice in the profession. She is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, a trained Action Learning Set facilitator and accredited in the use of a variety of personality psychometrics. Clients typically find Shirley to be good humoured, challenging yet supportive.
Tally is a skilled and knowledgeable organisational development and change consultant with over ten years’ experience of working as a senior OD professional in healthcare. She works with senior managers to develop organisational cultures that align to the business vision, and improve the experience of employees and service users. She has worked on large-scale culture change projects with a particular focus on defining and embedding values and behaviours through transactional processes and procedures to create transformational culture change.
